Your brand represents who you are and what you sell. More than that, it is the promise you make to your customers. That's where we come in. ICAN does a variety of branding work for clients. We can start from the ground up, developing your identity and brand strategy from scratch. Alternatively, we can extend your existing brand to the web and printed collateral, including brochures, signs, and anything else you might need. Six steps make up our branding process, which relies heavily on collaboration between your team and ours. Just as we trust you to provide information and honest feedback, we hope you will trust our skills and judgment and allow us to develop the most effective, memorable solution to meet your business goals.

There are 6 vital steps in the creative strategy:
  1. Defining your brand
2. Surveying the competition
3. Devising a strategy
4. Refining the design
5. Extending the main motif
6. Guiding the users
Step 1
Defining your brand

You have to evaluate your promise so that we know exactly what you want to communicate. Together we talk this through so that we share an enthusiasm for the stages which follow.

Step 2
Surveying the competition

You need to be different from your competitors. We will study the market and decide where to pitch your brand. By clearly understanding what the competition is doing, the way ahead becomes easier to plan.

Step 3
Devising a strategy

Here we will present to you one or two fully developed concepts for your assessment. You can rely on our experience here. To offer too many options would be confusing so we work out in advance the best type of solution. With your approval we can proceed to the next step.

Step 4
Refining the design

Here we examine the details more closely to make sure every aspect suits your taste and requirements. Comments from your team are very important to us. We listen carefully and incorporate your ideas, as appropriate, into the design so that the brand clearly emerges.

Step 5
Extending the main motif

We now begin to explore other aspects of the programme so that we can address other situations and opportunities which may arise. We define brand architecture, focusing on colour, typography, and written style, so as to maintain consistency in future development.

Step 6
Guiding the users

We aim to give you instructions explaining how to use the principles and main features of your brand. This will take the form of a brochure or manual and will help your keep the integrity of your brand.
